This Privacy Policy describes how Pure Habits Hub LLC collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit our website, subscribe to our newsletter, or purchase a digital product. We do not sell your personal information.

If you have questions, email us at hello@purehabitshub.com.

Scope

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") applies to Pure Habits Hub, the website available at purehabitshub.com, our newsletter (The Saturday Letter), and any digital products we sell. Throughout this Policy, "Pure Habits Hub," "PHH," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Pure Habits Hub LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.

By using our website, subscribing to our newsletter, or purchasing a digital product, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information in three ways: when you provide it to us directly, automatically through your use of our website, and from third parties who help us operate.

Information You Provide

  • Email address. When you subscribe to our newsletter, download a free guide, or purchase a product.
  • Name. Optional, used to personalize emails and order confirmations.
  • Payment information. Processed by our payment infrastructure: Lemon Squeezy acts as Merchant of Record and handles checkout, tax calculation, and receipts; Stripe is the underlying payment processor that handles card data. Both are PCI-DSS compliant. We never store credit card numbers on our servers — and even on our processors' dashboards, we only receive a confirmation of payment with the last four digits of your card, the card brand, and your billing email and country (for tax compliance).
  • Customer communications. Emails, contact form submissions, and any messages you send us.
  • Comments and feedback. If you submit a comment, survey response, or feedback.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and browser data. IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, and language.
  • Usage data. Pages viewed, time spent, links clicked, and the page or source that referred you.
  • Approximate location. Derived from your IP address (city level, never precise).
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See Your Choices below, or our Cookie Policy for the complete list.

Information from Third Parties

  • Email engagement data from Resend (our newsletter provider): whether an email was delivered, opened, or whether a link inside it was clicked.
  • Pinterest analytics: aggregated traffic data when you arrive from a Pin.
  • Affiliate networks: when you click an affiliate link and make a purchase on a partner site, the partner shares anonymized transaction data so we can be paid our commission. We do not receive your name, address, or payment details.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver what you signed up for — sending you the newsletter, the free guide you downloaded, or the digital product you purchased.
  • Process transactions and provide customer service — order confirmations, refunds, tax records, and responses to your questions.
  • Improve our content and website — understanding which articles and emails resonate so we make more of what works.
  • Send marketing communications you have opted into — newsletter emails and occasional product announcements. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link.
  • Maintain site security — detecting suspicious activity, blocking bots, and preventing fraud.
  • Comply with the law — tax and accounting records, responses to lawful requests, and enforcement of our Terms of Service.

We do not use your personal information to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not sell it to data brokers. We may use AI tools to analyze aggregate or anonymized usage patterns — for example, which articles resonate with which segments of our audience — to inform our editorial decisions. These analyses do not retain or learn from your individual data.

Separately, Pure Habits Hub uses AI tools in its editorial production process — research synthesis, draft assistance, and editing — with human editorial review before publication. This is described in detail in our Editorial Standards. AI use in editorial production does not involve user data; the two are kept distinct.

How We Disclose Information

We disclose personal information only to the third parties needed to operate Pure Habits Hub, and only the minimum each one requires.

Service Providers

  • Website hosting — keeps our site online and stores the database.
  • Resend — sends our newsletter and tracks delivery, opens, and clicks.
  • Lemon Squeezy — Merchant of Record for our digital product sales. Handles checkout, tax calculation and remittance, and receipts. Takes legal responsibility for the transaction.
  • Stripe — payment processor used by Lemon Squeezy to handle card transactions. PCI-DSS compliant.
  • Google Analytics — measures aggregate site traffic. We use IP anonymization where supported.
  • Pinterest analytics — measures referral traffic from Pinterest.

Affiliate Networks

We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other affiliate programs (such as ShareASale and Impact). When you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase on a partner's site, the partner shares anonymized transaction data so we can be paid. We do not receive your name, address, or payment information from these transactions.

Legal Compliance and Protection

We may disclose information if required by law (a court order, subpoena, or lawful request from authorities), or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to prevent fraud or illegal activity.

Business Transfers

If Pure Habits Hub LLC is ever sold, merged, or restructured, your information may transfer to the new owner as part of that transaction. We will notify you before any change takes effect.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third-party advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not trade your data for anything of value.

Your Choices

Marketing Emails

Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email hello@purehabitshub.com and we will remove you from our list.

Cookies and Tracking

Most browsers let you block cookies, clear existing cookies, or refuse cookies from specific domains. If you disable cookies, certain features of our website may not function as intended. For the full list of cookies we use, see our Cookie Policy.

Global Privacy Control

We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If you enable GPC, your preference will be honored on the browser or device you are using. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.

Updating or Deleting Your Information

To access, update, or delete your information, email hello@purehabitshub.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."

Additional Information for California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the "CCPA"), gives you specific rights regarding your personal information.

Your Rights Under the CCPA

  • Right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we share with.
  • Right to access the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to delete your personal information, with limited legal exceptions (such as tax records).
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not engage in either, but the right exists.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive PII in the CCPA's defined sense.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you service, charge you more, or give you a worse experience for exercising any of these rights.
  • Authorized agent. You may designate someone to make a request on your behalf.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email hello@purehabitshub.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity (usually by replying from the email address you originally used) and respond within the time required by law (typically 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension for complex requests).

Additional Information for Residents of Other U.S. States

The laws of the state where you reside may grant you certain rights with respect to your personal information. As of the date of this Policy, the following U.S. states have comprehensive privacy laws that may apply to you:

Colorado · Connecticut · Delaware · Florida · Indiana · Iowa · Kentucky · Maryland · Minnesota · Montana · Nebraska · New Hampshire · New Jersey · Oregon · Rhode Island · Tennessee · Texas · Utah · Virginia

Subject to certain exceptions, your state of residence may give you the right to:

  • Confirm whether we are processing your personal information and access that information.
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal information.
  • Delete personal information you provided or that was collected about you.
  • Obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal information, or profiling that produces legally significant effects. We do not engage in any of these activities.
  • Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, email hello@purehabitshub.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and the name of your state. If we decline your request, depending on your state's law, you may have the right to appeal — you can do so by replying to our response.

Additional Information for EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents

The European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, the United Kingdom's UK GDPR, and Switzerland's revised Federal Act on Data Protection (collectively, "GDPR") grant individuals located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland (collectively, "Europe") specific rights regarding their personal information.

Your Rights Under GDPR

  • Right of access — receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion in certain circumstances.
  • Right to restriction of processing in specific cases (for example, while we verify a correction).
  • Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, including for direct marketing.
  • Right to data portability — receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal information under the following lawful bases:

  • Consent — newsletter subscription, marketing communications, and non-essential cookies.
  • Contract — processing a digital product purchase, delivering the file, and providing related customer support.
  • Legitimate interest — site analytics, fraud prevention, and basic business operation, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — tax records, accounting, and responses to lawful requests.

International Transfers

Pure Habits Hub is operated from the United States, and the third-party services we use are based primarily in the United States. When we transfer personal data of residents of Europe outside their jurisdiction, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms — most commonly the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). The processors that may receive your data outside Europe include Lemon Squeezy and Stripe (payment infrastructure), Resend (newsletter delivery), Google Analytics (aggregate site analytics), and our website hosting provider. All of them are SCC-covered.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email hello@purehabitshub.com with the subject line "GDPR Request." We will respond within one month of receipt. If your request is complex or you have submitted multiple requests, we may extend that period by up to two additional months, in which case we will notify you of the extension and the reason.

Children's Privacy

Pure Habits Hub is intended for adult readers. Our website is not directed at children, and we do not market to anyone under 18.

In line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, email hello@purehabitshub.com and we will delete it.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes we collected it. In practice:

  • Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe, plus up to six months on a suppression list to prevent accidental re-addition.
  • Customer purchase records — seven years, as required by U.S. federal and state tax law.
  • Customer service emails — up to three years after the issue is resolved.
  • Analytics data — up to 26 months (the default retention in Google Analytics 4).
  • Comments and feedback — indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them.
  • Server logs — up to 30 days for routine logs; longer for security-related logs.

Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information from loss, theft, and unauthorized use, disclosure, or modification. These include HTTPS encryption across the entire site, access controls on our internal systems, and reliance on third-party processors that maintain their own recognized security certifications (such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001).

No system is 100% secure. If we ever discover a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in line with applicable U.S. state breach-notification laws and the GDPR's 72-hour rule where it applies.

Data Location

Pure Habits Hub is operated primarily for a U.S. audience. Our servers, our newsletter infrastructure, and our analytics processors are located in the United States. If you access our website from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time as our business evolves or as laws change.

For minor changes (clarifications, formatting, or small wording updates), we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes (a new category of data, a new use of your information, or a new third party we share with), we will provide advance notice by email to newsletter subscribers, a banner on the site, or both — before the change takes effect.
